Public Works and the Environment

The Office of Administrative Hearings conducts hearings and resolves cases involving Notices of Violation or Notices of Infraction that affect the environment.  In addition, persons responding to Notices of Violation or Notices of Infraction file their responses and payments with the Office of Administrative Hearings.

• Notices of Violations issued by the Department of Public Works for actions such as improper storing and handling of waste and improper recycling
• Notices of Infractions issued by the District Department of the Environment for actions affecting the District’s natural resources and the environment
• Notices of Infractions issued by the Office of Energy, District Department of the Environment
