Administrative Law Judge

 

Judge Hall was appointed as an Administrative Law Judge to the District of Columbia Office of Administrative Hearings in January 2021.

Prior to joining the Office of Administrative Hearings, Judge Hall served as Assistant General Counsel for the District of Columbia Metropolitan Police Department. He advised senior law enforcement officials on a wide array of issues including officer discipline, criminal law, and labor and employment matters. He represented MPD in arbitrations, mediations, and before administrative courts. Before joining MPD, Judge Hall was a prosecutor with the Office of Attorney General for the District of Columbia. At OAG, he prosecuted misdemeanor and felony offenses, and worked to promote alternatives to traditional prosecution of juveniles.

Before law school, Judge Hall had a successful career in higher education administration and non-profit management. He served as the senior financial analyst for a non-profit healthcare provider and helped direct the financial aid offices at Brown University and Boston University.

Judge Hall grew up in Rhode Island. He holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Rhode Island, a Juris Doctor from Suffolk University Law School, and a Master of Laws in Trial Advocacy from American University Washington College of Law.
