Curt D. Campbell Jr.

Administrative Law Judge

Judge Campbell was appointed as an Administrative Law Judge to the District of Columbia Office of Administrative Hearings in January 2021.

Prior to joining the Office of Administrative Hearings, Judge Campbell represented District residents in a variety of public benefits matters at the Legal Aid Society of the District of Columbia.  While at Legal Aid, Judge Campbell represented hundreds of individuals challenging denials of Social Security and Supplement Security Income (SSI) benefits;  termination or denial of SNAP benefits; and the reduction of Medicaid-funded home health services, among many other matters. Judge Campbell also worked with a broad coalition of advocates, benefit recipients, and government officials to help eliminate the District's five-year lifetime cap on the receipt of TANF (cash assistance for families)  benefits.

Judge Campbell grew up in Hoboken, NJ. He received his B.A. in Political Science from Tufts University and his J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center.
