Marissa Gunn

Administrative Law Judge

Judge Gunn was appointed as an Administrative Law Judge for the District of Columbia Office of Administrative Hearings in January 2021.

Judge Gunn’s entire career has been dedicated to serving the public interest. Prior to her appointment, Judge Gunn practiced law at D.C.’s Children’s Law Center in Washington D.C., where she litigated domestic relations and child welfare cases, and supervised and trained staff and pro bono attorneys. Judge Gunn regularly served as a family law mentor for the DC Bar Pro Bono Center and served as faculty for D.C. Bar trainings. Before law school, Judge Gunn spent a year as an AmeriCorps volunteer at Bread for the City in Washington, D.C.

Judge Gunn grew up in Pennsylvania. She received her B.S. from Juniata College in Pennsylvania, and her Juris Doctorate from Howard University School of Law. She is a member of the bars of the District of Columbia and Maryland.
